Coffee with a Client: Jane Weeds Design

HTA Advisory has a broad spectrum of clients across many industries. Often, it’s only the business advisor who gets to hear about the exciting things our clients are doing. Our Client Conversation offers an opportunity for us to present our clients to our readership in a way that shares their passion for what they do.

This month we introduce you to Jane Weeds Design

Jane Weeds Design Jane, thanks for taking time out of your projects to catch up for a coffee. As your business advisors, we know all the numbers, but what about you; who are you, what’s your business all about?

My name is Jane and I run a boutique graphic design studio that offers visual business solutions for all print media. With over 15 years of industry knowledge, I offer inspiring design solutions on an individual project basis without the overheads of a large agency. I listen to my clients and translate their thoughts into strong designs. I can tailor a creative experience, which will meet your objectives and exceed your expectations through creative logo design, branding material, corporate communications, brochures and much more!

What has been your favourite project to work on? What made it great?

It’s hard to narrow it down but loved working on a training medical journal for a large pharmaceutical company. The client gave complete creative freedom and each page of the journal was a different design – a lot of serious medical literature evolved into something quite creative and exciting.

Describe your ideal client; what makes them stand out as exceptional?

An ideal client is always one lets me know how happy they are with their job, and how successful it’s been – that to me is an achievement! The best part about being a designer is when you have the creative freedom and trust from clients and when you get client satisfaction and appreciation its the icing on the cake.

Are there challenges you need to overcome, how do they strengthen your work?

Managing expectations; convincing a client that a winning concept cannot necessarily be immediately conjured out of thin air is a challenge but as long as you have good communication skills and a clear perspective you can work together to produce a great piece of work!

Design is an in progressive industry, so how does it continue to motivate you?

It’s constantly evolving! At its best, graphic design motivates me to do things, try things or make things for my clients that we never thought we would or could.

Thanks Jane, so great to grab five away from our work! To see some of the fantastic projects Jane’s designed, you can download her brochure or view her website.

If you too would like to “catch up with a coffee”, email Melissa your availability.
